Summary:
The xDR Analysation Data Base - adate is a sophisticated software solution which converts binary data into an understandable ASCII format for analyzation. This way xDRs e.g. for 'End to End' calls can be analyzed, or an input xDR can be compared to the respective output xDR.

Definition of problem:
The only and thus most important source for billing data are the Call Detail Records (also known as xDRs). These xDRs contain all relevant information the billing system needs.

These data are written in a binary format which cannot be read by humans. In order to improve the quality of the software in a billing system it is essential to analyse data in a human readable format. Problems and their cause and/or consequence can only be detected this way..
Analysation data base (adate)
belerofon's analysation data base offers a detailed analysis of billing data which are stored in a high performance data base in ASCII format. This provides the advantage to analyse xDRs for 'End to End' calls or to compare an input xDR to the output xDR. Thus adate does not only help to detect errors and problems but offers a way to minimize errors and to increase the quality of software components. This consequently results in less financial loss and in an increase in the ARPU (Average Revenue Per User).
