Summary:
The xDR format reader - forea is used in various belerofon applications to convert binary data in human readable ASCII data.

Forea can be used for any xDR format, irrespective of whether they are in ASN.1 or non-ASN.1 format, as well as for xDR formats which are generated by software (e.g. mediation device)

  • converts xDRs from binary format in ASCII files.
  • displays field names, data structure, value ranges of any xDR format
  • checks validity of xDR data structure
Definition of problem:
The original format of billing data is file-based and written in a binary format. So there are 1 to n xDRs, i.e. it is a data format which cannot be read by humans. These data can only be viewed after being transferred into the human readable ASCII format, a necessity in order to ensure transparency, and the only way to check any details and draw conlusions accordingly. Our patented way of data decoding in such a granularity allows a clear, entire and yet unknown way to display detailed information in billing data. Other belerofon products deploy these features.
